CNC made skid plate

New member
My new detector did not have a scuff cover with it, so I traced out the coil, scanned the trace and made a skid plate using some styrene and a CNC router, fastened the plate using packing tape.

Use plastic wire ties to hold it on. Also put a bright yellow one on the front center to aide in pinpointing.

I was given the plastic by a neighbor, I used a CNC router to cut out the plastic, it cut easily.

Thanks for the tip regarding using ties.
