cna the sand shark be used sucsessfully on land ? and what is its depth on a dime on land ?

I would not just because it's an all metal machine. If the area was clear maybe but you'ed be shocked at the amount of iron our machines have to ignore.

I used my sand shark on land in my yard and on both salt and freshwater beaches. Like the poster said above, it finds every piece of metal you swing over. You can use it anywhere, you just have to dig everything. I found a dime in Destin, Florida about 8-10 inches of sand. I also found a wedding band of white gold and diamonds for a woman who chased me down in 5 feet of surf.
