CLUB PICNIC AND HUNT

Our Club yearly has a picnic in a public park with shelters

We outline an area and plant Silver Dimes and this year also Buffalo Nickels into this designated hunt location

After eating we place ourselves around the parameter and start detecting

Brian and I and our son Adam (using our old detector) found a total of 31 Silver Roseys and 25 Buffalo Nickels

These coins were found in addition to the coins planted for the Hunt and countless pull tabs because adding the Buffalo Nickels added to the experience

And please notice the 1943 P War Nickel which Brian had not realized he found until they were cleaned

Thanks For Viewing

Great club hunt. That must have been an exciting experience. I looked at your pics in the post before I read it and I thought to myself, WOW what a day, look at all those coins.

Thanks for the pictures Eva! I'll bet that was fun!

Holy cow Eva, did anyone else find anything???

How many coins were planted and how many hunters did you have?

Nice work!

Very nice!!! That sure it a lot to dig over 60 hole in a day.. Would have made some get video

What I did not mention is that it started to Rain during the Hunt

Think Monsoons

The three of us ended up continuing to hunt and as the rain eased more members came out also

A Video would have been entertaining:rofl:

I heard that there was $300 worth of dimes placed and I would say about 40 of us and family were there because of the weather

We have wonderful weather now, breezy and in 70's to low 80's AND expecting more storms on Friday

But how can you be mad about RAIN when it is so appreciated!

Regards and HH

It's been so hot here in July and August (been in the 90's almost every day) it's been tough getting out. We've had measurable rain only 2 days in the last two months and an occasional thunderstorm. On the days that it rained, I went out and hunted with my Excal II just to enjoy the cooler weather while it was raining.

looks like great fun for sure.....when you have seeded hunts like this, you surely don't count "planted coins" in your yearly totals do you?

NEVER

It is the ONLY seeded Hunt we participate in
I am on the Club Board but only help with other seeded Hunts we have to generate funds for the Club

Good Question!

May we mention, Eva, that we only keep the understanding that you guys are "SEEDY" there in upstate, on this forum. That information will not fall into the lines of another forum....:tongue::lmfao:
