Club hunt yesterday.:clapping:

Well, we had our monthly club hunt yesterday at yet another pounded to death park, but it wasn't a total loss. I thought I would stick my SEF coil on my SE and give it another try and it did sniff out four silver for me. There was a threat of rain, but it held off till about 1:30 and then she started coming down. I ripped out my rain pants and didn't notice it till we took our lunch break, but I still managed to keep dry. I got two silver rings, a 1920 merc and a 1944 quarter. Only managed to get one 1944 wheatie and $5.88 in clad and a British one pound coin. I got a first also by the way. It was a restroom token of all things!! Never seen one before and that's why I call it my crappy token. Maybe crapper token would be better name for it. My buddy Lee got a 43 merc and a couple of wheats and a real nice silver ring so I didn't have to listen to him crying all the way home about not getting any silver.:clapping: Not sure what the other guys found, but we had a good turn out and like I always say, you can't beat enjoying this great hobby with friends and just getting out to swing a coil. Thanks for looking and GL & HH to all of you who can still get out.

Eddie

Nice hunt Eddie.

I'll have to admit I don't think I've ever seen "crappier" token:bouncy: :crylol:

That thing is cool....never seen one before.

Nice Finds Eddie!

We don't have a club here in western Ky, that I know of. I think I would enjoy belonging to one and sharing with everybody, but I do belong to one in a way you know? Findmall gives us a chance to be a part of a worldwide group!

I will post some of my finds in the future and try to be a part of this great forum!

a crappie find for sure lol nice post eddie glad you can still get out

Nice silver.... almost $6 in clads nothing to sneeze at either. I always enjoy the club hunts.... you get a lot of experience in one place so there is always something to learn and see. Its getting hard to find a place large enough to get a group together anymore.

Dew

Sounds like you had a fun time Eddie. You made some nice finds and got free admission to the toilet.:)

A few nice finds for hunting a worked over park. Nice job.

Rich (Utah)

You pulled quite a few nice keepers out of that pounded site. Congrats!:beers:

You always hope those hunted out sites are not comepletely hunted out and if you swing your coil over the right spot you, you get lucky at times. HH and thanks for the reply.

Eddie

Thanks Dave. It's always a fun time to just be able to get out and enjoy this great hobby with your friends and getting silver is just the icing on the cake. Now all I got to do is find that toilet so I can use that token. HH and hope you and Bryce can get out again soon.

Eddie

Thanks Dew. We seem to have plenty of places for our club hunts, but the finds are getting more and more scarce all the time. Too bad the old stuff doesn't get replenished like the garbage and the clad, but at least the clad helps pay for the gas sometimes.HH.

Eddie

Thanks Bobby. It is nice to belong to a detecting club, but you hit the nail on the head by saying that you already belong to a club as far as being a part of this forum is concerned. I have made a lot of friends on here and have gotten plenty of advice as have many others fellows and you will too my friend. All you have to do is just ask. Welcome to the forum and I and others will look forward to your posts down the road. GL & HH.

It was a fun hunt till the rain pretty much shut us down. I thought my arm would be really sore from swinging that SEF for about six hours, but it didn't affect my bowling this morning. Someone said that they have toilets back in New York and in Seattle where you have to use those tokens or a quarter. I would like to know where that darn thing came from. Guess I got one up on you buddy with that crappy token. Oh, thanks a lot for kicking my Seahawks butt yesterday!! Wait till next year.:clapping: Hope you and Dave can get out again soon and who knows, maybe you will luck out and find one of those crapper tokens.

Eddie

That token would be more useful to get out of the Doghouse rather than into the Restroom, as that is usually my first stop after returning from what I told my Wife would be another "short hunt"....
