Club hunt yesterday.:clapping:

Well, finally got out for a club hunt at a well pounded park across the water. The skies were gray all day with the threat of rain, but we lucked out and managed to keep dry. Must have been brcause I took my raingear. Had I left it home I probably would have gotten soaked. Anyway, I put my SE Pro coil on my XS and just went at a snails pace. Did pretty good in the morning hours and ended up with three wheaties dated 18, 44 and 51. Got one 45 war nickle, a well worn 1919 merc and managed to sniff out a 1906s barber dime. It was one of those iffy signals and surprised the heck out of me when I saw that it was a barber. I also got this big honking ring. Thought it was silver at first as it almost blew my ears off when I ran my coil over it, but now I'm thinking it's made out of stainless steel. It does have the letters DAX on the inner band and if anyone knows what this might stand for your help would be appreciated. The Roman soldier in the center of the ring seems to be made out of copper or brass and I did polish it up for you guys. Stuck it on my scale and it weighed in at 22.5 grams. The other thingy I dug up has an elephant on it and looks like something that came from India or maybe Thailand. This thing weighed in at 55.5 grams and I think it's plated pewter. Thanks for looking and HH.

Congrats on all the sweet finds Eddie.
Not sure what the ring is made of...but it's nice looking.
Glad you got swing the coil my friend.

Nice finds Eddie! Here's what I found on the figurine.

Mark

This God of knowledge and the remover of obstacles is also the older son of Lord Shiva. Lord Ganesha is also
called Vinayak ( knowledgeable ) or Vighneshwer (god to remove obstacles). He is worshipped, or at least
remembered, in the beginning of any auspicious performance for blessings and auspiciousness.

He has four hands, elephant's head and a big belly. His vehicle is a tiny mouse. In his hands he carries a rope
(to carry devotees to the truth), an axe (to cut devotees' attachments), and a sweet dessert ball -laddoo-
(to reward devotees for spiritual activity). His fourth hand's palm is always extended to bless people.

A unique combination of his elephant-like head and a quick moving tiny mouse vehicle represents tremendous
wisdom, intellegence, and presence of mind.

wtg...congratulations on the finds. I would take stuff like that any day.
A barber dime and a mercury dime are welcome here as are the rest of the stuff.

Thanks very much for all the information on that figurine. I really do appreciate you taking the time to look into it and passing it on to me. HH.

Just getting out with some of the guys was the fun part. I think I was the only one who found silver, but then again I was the only one swinging the SE-Pro coil.:detecting: HH.
