Well, we had our club hunt today at an old ex-state park that use to be an old military fort years ago. Didn't think it would turn that we would find much of anything, but at least I didn't get skunked on the silver. I was detecting the front yard of one of the old buildings and managed to squeeze out three rosies and four wheats. My wheats were dated 41, 42, 56 and 57. My rosies were 1954, 62 and 64. Got two WA state tax tokens, a cheap ring and a WA state parks 12kt 20 year service pin. I also found a 1962 25th anniversary Look Magzine token and $1.49 in clad. Since my SE pro coil isn't working I stuck my SEF 10x12 coil on and she came through just fine. Thought my arm would be sore after swinging it, but it wasn't bad at all. One of the fellows found a nice 14kt gold man's wedding band and a gal found a merc and a rosie. My buddy Lee got three wheats and a war nickle and I'm not sure what the rest of the gang found. It's getting pretty dry here now and the digging was kind of tough, but the hunt turned out better then I thought it would. I'm sure this place has been pounded to death like most places our club goes, but finding silver and some wheats is a good day in my book. Thanks for looking and HH to everyone.
