What would be the best Digital Camera for taking pictures of rings, coins, etc? I can never seem to get a clear picture of a ring. Any Digital Cameras out there with a decent price? What Optical zoom should I look for in a camera? I have even tried a tripod with no luck. Please help.
 
I use the Sony DSC-P8 Cybershot, small compact camera i put it on my belt while detecting has many features including a 40 second movie mode, good close ups here is pic of a 22kt ring i found in the water.
I would like to point out lighting is the main factor when taking close up shots.
