Close to a house

When I get close to a house, 10 to 15 feet, I lose all my thresh hold tone. This is true for me at every house I have done, sometimes more less distance from the house.

I normally run sens at 25 to 28, next to the house I have no thresh hold even with the sens at 10. Is it worth going lower on the sens? When I lose thresh hold sound does that mean I will not find any thing deep or old becouse the detector is busy?

What do all of you do?

i can't say why you lose threashold, but with my se , i go all metal and sens at 20 to 22 and i never lose threashold no matter how close i am to a house , maybe someone here with more knowledge can help , good luck.

If you're loosing threshold, you are more than likely nulling because your targets are so many and you are discriminating out so much. Try lower discrimination and also try noise canceling near the house, NOT over metal, say within 6-7 feet from the house and see if that helps any. You could also try a smaller coil, but from what you've indicated it sounds like your nulling out probably from roofing nails and debris.
