Went down to the "Hunted Out Park" today, for a short dig. Up pops this 1917D mercury dime. Missed it by this much! One day the 1916D is gonna be mine. Also dug another Indian head penny, 1903 and also a 1917 wheat back. Go get you some.
 
Very nice finds there msareborn! I'll tell you, Ive dug a few 1916 mercs and I could see a mintmark and it has ALWAYS turned out to be an S. Maybe next time?! Best of luck and...

I've actually found 2 1916 barbers, so I know the 1916D mercury is out there. We mostly have S mint coins here in the ground, so I'll probably see one of the 1916S' first. Although I have already found the 1914D wheat back penny.
 
Nice finds and great hunt!:surprised: Thats some old dirt there, good on ya for pulling some trophys in a hunted out spot!:clapping:
