I am reading about all these good finds and I have two unhunted 100 year old Houses to hunt. Spent the last couple evenings hunting one of these houses. I have bunches of Zincs, clad dimes, a few Nickles, and a few quarters, but only one 48 Wheat penny so far. What bothers me is I have only covered an area not much bigger than my Bathroom. Looks like they took their Piggy Bank and just scattered coins every where. This House is on the Corner next to the School so it has potential if I ever dig up all those modern coins. I might have to change my name to Cleo the Clad Digger in the mean time though.
 
If there's that many clad coins in that yard then you are going to have to clean them out to unmask the deeper old coins.

Yep exactly and I am working on it. I know I said these house were old but in addition they have been rent houses for a long time. I think these younger people throw their pennies and change in the Ashtray then dump them out after they start rattling. Not unusual here to find 20 or more coins in the same hole.
