Clearwater trip,

PaPa-Joe-Fla.

We are at a campground about 12 miles from Clearwater so I took a morning run there today. Was in the water by 8:30 am. water temp was chilly air temp was around 65 degrees. Had very little luck, found some clad and trash and one .925 silver ring. I think Paul and Patty (Golddigger) have cleaned it all out. I ran into another hunter up on the dry sand who had found a small piece that looked as if it were Gold. His name was Don he was from Clearwater. After about 4 hrs. in the cool water started to get some foot cramps while digging so I gave up till tomorrow.Maybe Indian Rocks Beach tomorrow. Here is my spin. HH

PA PA Joe Clearwater gets hunted hard. I am from that neck of the woods. I have huunted on the beach with my wife and looked up and seen as many as 5 detector coming at me at the same time all in a row .I let them have the beach

PAPA Joe, My brother lives in St. Pete, and he always tells me how good it would be if I were to go to Clear Water (when I visit him) as there is allot of spring breakers there. I told him this, Do you think I'm the only person who has a metal detector? Florida has big time hunters. He doesn't hunt and thinks the place is a gold mine, I told him that there are allot of guys (like you) who know there stuff and its not so easy. but Ill tell you, I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE IT A SHOT LIKE YOU. My feeling is this, if you found silver there is gold as well. Hit that sucker on Dec. 12Th. Best of luck PAPA. remember the 12Th of December:clap: (low tide) and please let me know how you do.
Bill

Hey Joe, Would love to take credit for finding everything, but we haven't even gotten a chance to get out there since late October. (snowbirds are grabbing it all-- ) Going through withdrawls too. Maybe I can get back in the water by New Years.

:ranting: :ranting: Excal is back in the shop (again) since nov.3rd for the 3rd time this year. Can you believe we've lost over three months of hunting with minelabs cutback in service. Seems each machine takes 45 to be repaired. At least this time its during the slow season, last time was July and September. Things there haven't been the same since Sandy left.

Paul, sorry to here about your troubles with the excal. I have had mine for 2 years now and all I have done with it is replace the stock Batteries with the pac you told me about. I wish the best to you and Patty and the kids for the holidays. I'm hanging out at the campground with my grandaughter today , not going to Indian Rocks. HH
