Cleaning Wheats

wilder D

New member
I just found a large spill with 9 wheats in it, all pretty early 20's and 30s. Only problem is that they are extremely toasted! Do you guys have any tips on how to clean them up?

Most of us throw them in a tumbler. The problem with wheats is they aren't really worth anything. If you get enough of them you can roll them up and sell them for 4-5 bux a roll on e*ay and make a little off of them. Otherwise they just accumulate in a very large Tupperware bowl.

Sometimes they won't clean up well without losing all the detail cause the soil conditions(environment) they were found in was not kind to them over the years...nickels are sometimes bad about this too.

I use a little veg oil, conditions them , again some of them can be very hard to clean, my need to soak.them
