Cleaning up the scene of my past sins.

Went back to a school that was a real hot spot in the past. I've dug a little over 1,800 coins out of there since year 2000. Well the new drops fell way off about six years ago so I only go back every other year now. Anyway I took the AT Pro & the Ace 250 yesterday. Got some interesting results. Hunted the Pro first, in and around the tot lots. It was slow going cause the Pro was busy sniffing out nickels. Pro ended up with $3.22 , including 9 nickels, and a junk charm. After a water break, livened things up a little with the Ace. Hunted edges of soccer field , bleachers. Ace came out with $4.17. Strange thing, Ace didn't hit a single nickel. In fairness most of these coins were 4 inches or deeper. The only fresh drops were a hand full of pennies & a couple dimes. I'm going back next week with the Infinium, 14" coil, maybe dredge up a missed goody. Total coins for the hunt (64) in a little more than 3 hours. Truthfully, I had a real good time.

Those big producing coin spots are nice, almost like backing a pickup truck to a loading dock at the Mint and saying "fill 'er up". Nice haul Dancer, and 9 more nickels gets you that much closer to that 500 mark!!:clapping:

Great story! Waking up and thinking all night of where to go, and then just going back to a place like that you have hunted hard, and hunting it a bit different...just for the lack of any options...and YOU know theres gotta be some gold in there someplace! Once a guy gets to know a place really well, and cleans it out of clad like you have done, it cant hurt...you did real good on the coin count and dollars, and you had FUN!:beers:
