Cleaning Up Last Years Finds What Are These? Help

Well I finally got around to cleaning up some of my last years non coin finds and found 2 items that I am not familiar with. The look like some Kind of Broach but they are very large in size. They both also had pins on the back at one time to attach them to cloth. Any help on these and approximate age of them would help. The one item was tough to clean but after cleaning the one side off it appears to be silver. I could find no makers marks on either one. Thanks for your help in advance.

Those look like what the girls use to hold their hair in place. The brass looking
one looks like a pony tail clasp,and the other looks like a regular clasp.
