Cleaning my finds

use a rock tumbler from harbor freight etc,, aquarium gravel and a little soap, DO NOT MIX SILVER AND COPPER ETC.

Good Luck and Happy Hunting.

Follow Karl's advice.....mix copper coinage (zinc's/all copper) pennies with silver or clad, and the coins will come out a very ghastly color:(

i use corn cobb or walnut shell median used for shell casings and an old vibrating tumbler. a reloader gave it to me when he upgraded. put a squirt of brasso in it every so often. cleans them up. dont mix coins. i sometimes just soak modern clad if its id'ed as such in lemon dishwash liquid first. i have tried everything from tomato sauce and ketchup soak to vinegar, baking soda, every cleaner named. if its just clad, wash it off and throw it in the coin counter at kroger and cash it in. my silver i use tumbler too. most dug coins we come across are not rare unless its pine tree shillings or something. if i can id by date determines how i clean. i will ask, has anyone tried a water pik or tool with baking soda to blast crud? i use electrolysis sometimes.
