what is a good way to clean brass and copper? a buddy told me to soak tham in olive oil.they have a greenish corrosion on them.

I use WD40 on my brass and copper coins. Just wipe them as you clean them, or the dirt will can act as an abrasive. Spray the stuff on, and rub gently b/w your finger tips, and wipe. Then rinse off in warm water. I always carry a spray can of it when out detecting, because I like to clean my coins at the end of the day, if I'm camping out. It's nice not to have to wait to enjoy your finds!
