cleaning finds:csflag:

I have been away from here for some time. I believe I remember guys on here talking about using a tumbler with dish soap in it and what else I cant remember? But I do know tumbler cleaning has been used.

[size=large]use tumbler from harbor freight. mix vinegar or soap with fish tank gravel. don't clean pennies with any other coins.pennies will be clean in about three hours. other coins will take over-nite and depending how clean you want them, maybe longer.
i would not clean any collectable coin with-out talking to a collector about it. never clean collectors with the rest of the coins.

There we go.I am gonna pick a tumbler up and give it a try.

I agree on the tumbler and fish gravel, and keeping the pennies seperate. One tip I picked up from rock tumbling was to shave some Ivory soap into the mix. Cleans without excess foaming and washes right off. Makes the dirt crusted coins spendable again.
