Cleaned up Finds

The cannonball I found last month has stabilized in it's freshwater bath, it stopped stinking. I scoured it with fine steel wool and sprayed it with WD40, looks great. Many thanks to Angela and Macaco on the details of how to handle this find, one of my favorites.

The copper point is cleaned now as well. I still don't know what it is, but my wife suggests it is a copper tent peg. Any other ideas?

If you'd found two then my subject line would have been plural and might have sounded a just a little strange.......

The cannonball turned out well.

Now you need to find a bronze cannon to go with it!

And some gold cobs.......and some silver bars......Tucker didn't find everything.
