Cleaned and ready to wrap

A little over 500 pennies that I have dug in the last few months less 50 or so that were to corroded. They have been cleaned and are ready to be wrapped and taken to the bank. There is enough for a gallon of gas with a little left over. HH Dennis in Idaho

Dennis, Will your bank only except rolled coins? If so, that's a lot of extra work and cost. :surrender: Gas prices here have gone down to $3.79. You could get a candy bar too! Thanks for showing the coins. All in all, those pennies add up and it's all worth it in the end. HH to all, Nancy

Yes they have to be wrapped with you name an address/phone number on the outside. It is a pain, but like you said it adds up in the end. Gas prices are dropping here to but it needs to keep dropping. HH Dennis in Idaho

I thought I saw a machine in walmart that you could put your coins into and it would give you back bills. I will have to take a closer look next time.

With the coin machines by store exits you still have to have them clean and they also charge you a fee for their (convenient) service. It's not for us. We work-play hard for every penny retrieved. We'll take it to our bank where there are no fees charged. IMHO.... HH to all, Nancy

Nancy you took the words right out of my mouth. HH Dennis in Idaho

If you don't think you get excercise is this hobby, just think that all those 500 plus pennies represent 500 plus deep knee bends. HH Dennis in Idaho

n/t

I only clean the old silver coins and old nickles that I want to keep the pennies I through in a bucket, one day I guess I'll have to clean them to cash them in but all the clad quarters, dimes and nickles I just knock the dirt off of them and spend them in the vending machines at work.

I agree, I'd rather not "give" them any of my hard earned finds
