clean sweep coil?

The Clean Sweep Coil will NOT work with the LOBO, Tejon, Vaquero, and the Cibola. It is made for the uMax machines. I don't know how it will react to small gold items. That is why I'm asking for more info.

I have a Cleansweep that I use on my Stingray II. It discriminates just as well as my Tejon or Conquistador's coils. It's depth is limited to about 7" on a ring/coin but have pulled some deeper. If I run the discrimination low at 1 or 2 it picks up all trash AND chains. When I'm on the beach this is typically how I run it. This coil cannot be beat on beaches/soccer fields where you want to cover ALOT of territory and there CANNOT be a coil that will pinpoint easier at either end.

...I have one for my Golden and have never used it! I have tested it and found the weight to really screw with the balance on the uMax instruments. Perhaps this year when I hit the beaches Ill give it another try.

Thanks! You helped me make up my mind. I'll add it to right after I get the 4". I figure it will make a good addition for comp. hunting.

That is the main drawback of this coil is the weight. One way that seems to make it less unbalanced is to install it backwards with the long end pointing back toward you. The only other problem I've found is the top of the coil acts as a sandcatcher at the beach. These are, to me, minor issues when compared to all the coins and jewelry I've found with it.

a few of years ago. He made a little cart for it, out of plastic...frame, wheels, etc. He would just wheel it around the playing fields, and then when a target was hit, he would release the coil from its frame and then pinpoint the target. It was pretty cool!!!
