clean sweep coil

New member
Hello all new to forum my question is what kind of depth i could expect from the csc when put on the bandido umax dime/nickel normal soil conditions

Registered 3 years ago ??? but with a first post now ... well ... a big welcome!!!

My approximation is between 15% and 20% less than you get with the standard coil. So if in an air test you get 10 inches on a target with the standard coil, expect about 8 to 8.5 inches with the clean sweep. In more difficult ground conditions where you might get 6 inches on a target with the standard coil, you would expect a similar target at about 5 inches.

Conditions vary and your results will too, but a clean sweep on a Tejon is one of my favorite set ups for hunting sports fields, large tot lots and dry sand areas of large beaches. Should work very similarly on a Bandido

I have had good luck with mine on the silver u max. It has found more gold rings than my other detector

I clean house with mine !!!

To the original "how deep" questiion - around 5 - 6 inches.

Noticed Kellyco have these with a short or long cord, what is the advantage of 1 over the other?
THANKS

MIKE,

The short one (cord) is for swinging with the controlbox mounted on the pole (normal way most people use the machine).

If you remove the control box & chest mount it & have the coil only on the pole, you need a longer cord so you don't stress the connectors.

The Tiger Shark (VLF) & the Sand Shark (PI) are setup for chest mounting if needed.

MIKE,

I would like to get one for my Vaquero, already have the small coil for trashy areas................The CS is for covering large areas fast at 5 or 6 inch depths.

Each coil has a purpose & makes the MDer you own more versital.

Walt on this forum has a Golden uMax with a CS coil, he's been cleaning up finding gold that people have lost. He even MODed his for use in water (sealed it). He has good area to hunt to.
