classis II coils ???

Just wondering exactly which classic II you asking about. Is it the older GM classic II or Classic II SL for example. What iss the detectors operating frequency (6.5 khs)? Ron
all of the 'original' Classic series. These are the PRE-Blue max series of coils. Therefore, the Classic II won't use any of the Blue Max coils, such as the BM-350, BM-600 (or the brother coils, the 5.3 Black Max and 5.3 BullsEye), or the Blue Max 8" or ProScan 800 or Royal 800, or any of the 950 coils, etc., etc.
Check with a local dealer (or national) to see if they have any of the older coils sitting around.

It's the Classic II SL. I've been more than happy with the coil that came with it,but was just curious as I see ppl talking about using different coils on their machines. Until this machine fails me, It looks like this will be the only coil I'll need to worry about ! LOL. Thanks to all for the replies.......HH

I have a Classic II SL that I bought new several years ago. It is a great little detector and I still use it along with my MXT. I would like to get a smaller coil for it but I've never found one for it. Sounds like it is working well for you. It is built solid and swings good. HH Tony
