Classic111 hits silver

Took the classic 111 out with the 6 inch blue max cherry picked 1888 seated dime only three inches down.I went back over the hole to see what was masking this target turned out to be a bent nail.Came to a conclusion that most of the coins that are left are masked or to deep for the modern detector cast my lot upon the shallow coins being masked by nails ect.Thats why I bought the classic because of its ability to separate thanks to the writers in this forum.CEDARSWAMP

The Classic 3 IS a great coin getter! I remember my first silver dime I found using a Classic 3SL. It wasn't real deep but there were other targets very close to it and I was using a small coil. The fast recovery of the Classics makes is hard to beat in trashy areas. My Classic 3 has the Mr.Bill Mods and as long as it keeps working for me I will Never get rid of it! I work in trashy areas a lot and this IS the machine to use with a small coil. You are right about why some detectors pass right over shallow targets. It's because of masking and the Classics with small coils and fast recovery speeds are the ones to get the job done.I was also surprised to find my silver dime so shallow it makes you wonder why others have passed it by. That 1888 seated dime is a great find! Congratulations!!! Long Live The Classics!!!
