CLASSIC III COIL QUESTION

Can i use the 8inch coil that came with a classic II on my Classic III?? Is the 8inch coil that came with the Classic II the same as the Royal 800 ?? Thank you for any help with these questions!! I'm trying to save a few bucks on a coil.
 
Yes, the Classic II coil will probably work 'OK.' However, if you're referring to a Classic III Plus or Classic III SL (the ones that came with the 950 coils standard), then No, the Classic II and older coils will not work properly on them.

No, the Classic II coil isn't quite the same as the Royal 800 and other Blue Max 800 coils used on all of the more modern circuitry models. The Classic II's used an older circuitry and coil.
