Classic II or Silver uMax

Looking for advice with the choice I need to make. I have several children that like to hunt with me when I do get the chance to hunt. I like the pinpointing on the Classic II and I like the weight of the Silver uMax. The youngest person that will be using the Detector will be my 4 year old son.
Any help and advice will be appreciated.

I posted this response to your same question in the Detecting Forum but I'm reposting it here since it would be pretty important for anyone else in the same boat.

Repost text is:
Especially for the 4-year-old, pole length at its shortest possible length setting is extremely important. A little kid can't use a detector that's almost as tall as he is.
I remember the Amigo had this incorporated into its design that made it an incredibly ideal detector for little kids, but I'm not sure whether the poles of the Classic or the Silver go this short. Perhaps a dealer here can say.

This one below is also a repost. Thought it deserved comment, especially in a Tesoro forum.

Personally speaking, but I prefer manufacturers whose warranties are the best you can get just in case, and don't make the entire Internet world wonder if they got screwed by paying full retail (or more -- the horror stories are out there) because they didn't know any better.
Which is why I'm still a big fan of Tesoro years later.
