classic 5ID vers classic 5ID pro???

I am seeing ads for the classic 5 ID and some adds for classic 5ID pro is there any difference..I know they advertise i believe 30% deeper with the pro 9.5" coil vers the 8"coil..
a pro coil does not make it a pro machine or does it ??

They are both the same detector as the Classic 5ID has an 8" search coil and the Classic 5ID Pro has the 950" coil. They claim 20% to 30% more depth due to the bigger coil, but in reality the 8" coil is more useful over all such as in trashy areas. The 950" coil is good for open spaces with less trash and it does give a little more depth. The 8" and the 950" coils are the only two coils they make for the newer Classic 5ID detectors, same as the Prizm coils.

I did not know if they just did an upgrade on it or just a way to make the adveritisment sound better for sales!!!
I ordered one sat. from kelleco they had refurbs on sale for $269.00...with new warranty..I figure a will use it for a while sent to Bill for enhancements and then use for backup when I order the m6.. cant justify the m6 in my budget yet!!! maybe next year!! I retired 2 years ago and just now figuring just how to live on a little smaller budget...

I forgot to say I am diligently watching for a xl pro if one does not show up by the time I am ready for the m6 purchase the xl pro will turn into a new m6!!!!
