How much is a good price for a used one? Also what are the MR. Bill mods, price for this and advantages. How good are these? Thanks Tom
 
A good clean Classic III SL should bring between $150 - $185.00. The Mr. Bill mods include an added adjustable Threshold and an adjustable Ground Balance. You can do a search on Surf Scanner detectors to see the mods. Price I think is $85.00 for the mods. Most people will be very happy with the Classic III as it comes from the factory, but if after awhile you feel you want the absolute best this detector has to offer on depth and performance then the mods may be for you. I have a Modified IDX Pro (Same as the Classic III but with an added ID Meter). It's a Great detector. The Classic III is Great with a 4" to 6" coil in iron infested sites, and a Super dry sand beach detector with a BigFoot coil.
