Classic 3 Mod to change audio Frequency

I just did this on a classic 3 and an IDX so its still a little experimental. It makes the beep beep beep of the detector sound like the lowest reed on a harmonica instead of its normal ear spitting tone.

Replace C 31, rated at 10n, which is located next to U7A with a capacitor of 33n.

I'm having good luck with this.

Thanks for the info...I take it with a little experimenting, you could change the Pitch to almost anything you want...

HH,

Yes you can. I wanted to do this so those "Clicks" sounded more like "pops" Maybe find some advantage when it comes to "hearing" iron targets thats what I'm hoping for.

I tried this on my cz5....Instead of doing it internal..I just took a tooth pick and poked three holes in the speaker through the front..Now the iron sounds splatty.I do not recomend this for newbies...I have alot of experience.
