Class Ring

Treasure Mike

New member
Went out this morning to a local High School and found this class ring. It was on top of the ground in the grass. 10 K white gold 16.4 grams. Hit at 14 on my MXT with the Bigfoot coil. Found another one earlier this year 10 K yellow gold and it came in at around 35 on the VDI meter. I guess the different alloys in the white and yellow gold makes a big difference on how the VDI meter reads them. Anyway, my daughter goes to Tyee High School and she knows "TJ" the owner of the ring. I'm sure he will be happy when he gets it back tomorrow.

Nice find Mike and a great thing to do in returning it to the owner. Too often, identifiable jewelry is sold for the little scrap value that it brings instead.
