Class Ring Return Problems

normdiver

New member
Found a Howard University Class Ring, 1981 with the guys initials in it. I tried about a year ago to return it but no one there would help me. I called again today and sure enough they blew me off again. Should I ask for someone higher up the chain of command. She told me to put a found ad in my paper because they have had more than ten students with the initials J. L. P. in the system. What a bite

Go to www.classringfinder.com and put a picture and write-up of the ring there if you haven't alreadt done that. I have one that's been there for a few years and no joy, but you never know.

Here's mine:

Man, you are too good, never heard of that site. Got new knobs today for Robrcer X-Cal, work great. We are up and running again, come on low tide.

Man that's pathetic!!! It's not like you're asking them to find the previous owner for you!! All you want are the names and you'll do the work to track the person down - how hard can it be to make a list and send it to you.

If you're really intent on finding the owner, I would send a letter to the Dean of the school and also find out who's in charge of the Alumni Association and get in touch with them as well. Make it very clear that you're just trying to return the ring to it's rightful owner and you're disappointed in the lack of any help from their office.

Yep, thats what im gonna do. I also have a United States Navy ring with no class date on it. The Howard ring is now on Ringfinders but it wont take the Navy one because it has no class date. I think ill call the Dean for the Howard ring in person, Ive just found his phone number.

Glad to help! Yeah, those knobs are an improvement, I think. I still have my originals...never lost any or had a problem...just a "pre-emptive strike" so to speak. :)
