:clapping:This Is Why The AT Pro Is The Absolute Best Metal Detector Available To Anyone Today:clapping:

1) It has the standard mode, similar to an ACE 250 and is great for beginners, coin & jewellery hunting yet is deep and sensitive to gold.

2) It has the PRO mode, which is one of the deepest metal detectors (single frequency) available today. It was designed to find deep relics, yet with the 15kHz operating frequency and remains very sensitive to gold targets.

3) It is also water proof to 10 feet, so a quick accidental drop in the water or sudden rain will still keep you in the game. And, as a water machine, opens up a new style of detecting and territory in case you were ever interested without buying another water machine.

4) It's made in USA and costs less then half the price of some of the most expensive single frequency metal detectors which are restricted to land hunting only on non-rainy days.

Thanks John! I got my Pro on Wednesday, but have to wait till spring to use it. I really think I chose the right new detector, and when I hear experienced people like you say such great stuff about it, it makes me confident in my decision, and VERY impatient to go out and use it!!!:detecting:

You made a very wise decision and the PRO will reward you well. When everyone finally gets out with their PROS we're going to hear some great stories.

I may have to buy one if you guys keep talking like that..:yo:

I love the Atpro John. Its an Eye opener for a begginer and maybe a seasoned detectorist. I am a begginer, an my Eyes and Ears are open now . I am very satisfied with my 600 dollar macine . Its a winner for me . Ive often thought about the concept of a detector that can be basic and still reach out to other experienced people, and I really think Garrett took the money to the bank with this machine .It seems like theres a war on detectors brands , but Garrett made the ATpro a peacefull machine with the ability to compete with other Big money machines .

I felt the AT Pro was EXACTLY what I needed. I haven't received it yet, however, I owned a machine that was almost twice the cost (including the accessories and misc. toys). ALSO, the folks on this forum are way more down to earth-- polite -- and not nearly as arrogant as the other forum I was involved with. I am soooo looking forward to laying my hands on the At Pro.

Just think about it. You would have to buy four different detectors to acquire what the AT PRO has to offer in one machine and at a lower price than that of one mid level detector, plus a feature or two that ain't available anywhere else. In the Standard Mode you have all the features and performance of the Ace 250 and 350. In the Pro mode you have features and performance only found in detectors costing hundreds more than the price of the PRO plus it's waterproof to ten feet making it an underwater machine. What does a water hunting detector go for? So the AT PRO is one helluva bargain and the bargain of the century. This one detector can satisfy all your needs and you can hunt for anything anywhere.. Garrett had their act together and really scored with this one and it will set detectordom on fire.

Willy... I don't know you But YOUR AWESOME!!!!!!!!

John.
From what I can glean from the video footage, the AT Pro in standard mode, has the advantage over the Ace, in that you can tell how wide a target is, rather more like the GTI can with the DD coil on. Definitely an improvement.
I've currently got my Omega up for sale (not happy with it) and if I sell a second detector, then there will be a place for the AT. Gotta confess that it's growing on me.

It's the wife's birthday today and I bought her an electronic piano (not keyboard), so just maybe I might just have enough brownie points up for her to do just that. Father's day is in September over here.

P.S. We can't buy the Pro over here yet. it still hasn't landed as far as I know.
