New Harbor Freight pinpointer arrived the other day. It seems to be ok for the money. I notice however that if you set the sensitivity too high it will go off constantly even if it is not near metal. But since I only want it to sound off close to an object anyway, that's not really a big deal. It's seems awfully loud though and might attract too much attention. Still, I should'nt complain for the price. So let's see now: New detector, Housing cover, carryall bag, Extra coil with rod, Planters Buddy digging tool and military folding entrenching shovel-did I mention those yet?- and pinpointer. I think I've spent beyond sanity, for me anyway, and I still have to save up for a decent camera to upload pics.

Every pinpointer I've handled would go off constantly, even away from metal, if the sensitivity adjustment was set too high.
