:clapping:My Opinion of the Minelab Sovereign GT:clapping:

I do not post very often my opinion, but I believe after returning from Daytona Beach Monday that it was time. I had several Detectors I was playing with during my stay and decided the following. I love to beach hunt when I can but was not lucky enough to have the Excalibur 1000 this time, so I settled for my Sovereign GT. I hunted just about anywhere I wanted without any problems. The GT ran flawlessly in all areas. My point is, if you do not plan on submersing your detector, the GT is the way to go. I chest mounted mine and was in the water up to my waist. Track mode on threshold engaged sensitivity full speed. I decided that after I got back, this is the detector I will use at the beach from now on. :super:2 Thumbs up Minelab for a great detector. By the way, if you did not attend the Great Southern Beach Hunt, you missed the big one! Thanks for reading and have a Great Weekend, Ron

Well.... What did you find???

I'll back Ron up on this. I recently purchased one from him and the first day out I found one 14K ring. Second day out, one large sterling chain. Not bad from a beach that doesn't offer much anymore because of re-nourishment projects. This machine seems to love small gold. The 14K ring was a small child's ring and though I don't know exactly how deep it was it was down pretty good and the signal was strong. But I won't take it into the water, chest mounted or not. Large holes and waves can throw you off balance and that's all it would take. So unless you water proof it I would stay out of the water. BTW, thanks, Ron, for great service and one fine machine.
Jerry
