They have a fantastic new design for a light headset, that not only is very ergonomic, but also has a nice clear, deep sound. I ordered a pair a couple of weeks ago, and tonite I tried them on, tested them on my metal detectors and was quite impressed. Of course they are adjustable, so I let my daughter try them on and she thought that they were quite comfortable. They come with the standard 1/4" size stereo jack, and don't require an adapter to make them fit. The ear cuffs can rotate, so that they can be packed up in a suitcase, not take up as much room and not break the cuffs like some cheaper models. The ClearSound Headphones have a thicker, stronger wire from the cuffs to the 1/4" JACK, and a section is formed into a curly cord to prevent sudden snags from ripping out the wires.

The headsets also come with an in-line volume control, to set the audio to your desired listening level.

Now the ClearSound Headphones are stereo, which means that if you run them through a mono setup metal detector, you will only get audio on one side. The Scorpion is one such metal detector. I am looking forward to a new season of hunting, using these headphones for land hunting. :)

:usaflag:They ARE an excellent headset...My Ace 250 Spring Special came with a pair. Highly recommended..:usaflag:

Ive been using a similar set from another maker, over the last year. Mine aren't intended for detectors, specifically, but they do just fine.
These units from Garrett look excellent and "sound" like a good value for the money.

Thanks, they have an In-Line Volume Control, are set at Stereo, and have a 1/4" Jack.

1) How many OHMS?

2) Do they have a Sound Limiter on/off switch or a built in one(that clips off loud sound blasts), I would guess not at that pice?

3) And lastly IF Garret does not make them, what company makes them, like Sony, Koss, etc.? If so, what model number?

Here's the specs:
Impedence 32 Ohms
40 mm (1.57") Driver Unit
Sensitivity 108 dB. +/- 3Db.

No sound Limiter on/off switch or a built in one(that clips off loud sound blasts),

Made by or model number? You will have to contact Garrett, not shown on the package.

Hope this helps!

John
