Well i'll say that finding a Barber was one of the goals I set for myself this year. Looks like it's gonna be a good year. Found this tonite after work. Only had a little time before it got dark. Found it at the same place I found the two Large Cents, it's two doors down from the shop I work at. I knew that there was silver there somewhere. Went behind the old house into the woods. Came in loud and clear at about 7" or so. Man I tell ya, I really love my new Explorer. Thanks for looking. Joe.

Awesome !! congrats !

thats a great find hope many more to come

Nice find, congratulations!

That is a nice piece of silver.
Were you using the standard coin mode?

Thanks alot guys, cant say enough about how I feel about this Explorer. Just an awesome detector. I moved up from the xterra 70. Did well with it but i'm sure I made the right move. Pretty much using Brice's settings. Found the two large cents in factory settings. Andy's book has also been a big help. The real boost was all the very helpful forum members here that I've learned from. With out all you guys posting your finds and settings and such i'm not sure where i'd be or what detector i would of ended up with. There truely is a great group of members here always willing to help, much thanks to you. Oh yeah, went back over there at lunch and found a 1918 Wheat. Cant wait to get out again. I've got a spot to work on for a while now. I'll keep you posted. Joe.

Yeah I know, the 1901s would have made my day. The other day I found a 1916 Merc without the D. Did get the blood flowing till I got home and cleaned it. Still a cool find.
