CHRISTMAS GIFT EXCHANGE FOR ALL FORUM MEMBERS PLEASE SIGN UP

I was asked by another member to organize a Christmas gift exchange on this forum. It sounds like it will be fun. There is a chance you might either get or send a gift to a fellow MDer in another country.
It's a simple process....you sign up (just post a simple "I'm in" as a response) and PM me your name & address. I will pull names out of a hat and put them next to the names on the list. I will send you the name and address of the person you are responsible to give a gift to. Everyone gets a gift. You won't know where yours is coming from until it arrives. I am looking forward to having this exciting gift exchange become a yearly tradition.

Thanks to John-Edmonton for the idea.

If you are in, please check your profile and make sure your email address for PM

Are there any rules or guidelines? Minimum amount to spend, maximum amount to spend?

That is a very good question. Should be a limit so no one gets hurt or feels like they got cheated.........

Chris
I would think between $15 and $20. Once you add shipping it could add another $6 to $10 or so. that would be a guideline. I would think the only rule would be to get your gift in the mail soon after you are notified so it will get there before Christmas. I am trying to keep it fun and simple.

Do we have to spend money or can we give something like a cool find or something collectible, etc? Could be possible to get something $20.00 just can't buy.

Just an idea.

I haven't done any serious dumpster diving for valuable treasures in a good number of years. But, it is quite possible that I could give it another attempt in order to practice up on my highly professional skills. What would you like? :garrett::detecting:

Bottlebum
However you want to do it. A nice 14KT diamond ring you find would make a nice gift:thumbup:
