I would like to read about the war from the beginning. if someone has a link that I can go to and read about the war from both sides, can you please P.M me or post on here, Thank You

I did see at the top of this forum there is some links, A couple of them no longer link up. I would like to read a Book or on this forum, How the war started and ended. Right from the beginning

There are thousands, of books you can read on the CIvil War -- from the most basic overview to full-length volumes on individual issues, battles, campaigns, and personalities.

If you want a comprehensive view, either buy or go to a library and borrow the three-volume set, "The CIvil War: A Narrative" by Shelby Foote. Each of the three volumes is about three inches thick, so you can buy/borrow them one at a time.
