civil war relics

If you mean where would they register on the scale it would depend on what the relic was made of i would think. But most of it should be iron. JMO
 
Yeah depending on the compostion, size, they could be all over the place. I can't remember where buttons ring up, been so long since I found any.

Lead bullets will show up around a penny and a dime. As far as buttons they can be anywhere alot of flat buttons will be around a nickel range and i have found cuff buttons at a penny to a dime, If you are hunting in a civil war area i recommend you dig everything until you get tired of digging.alot of square cut nails will jump around iron and a dime.
