Civil war relic hunting in the south

Ism

Well-known member
I have this idea that I would like to relic hunt civil war artifacts in one of the states south of me...Tennessee, Kentuckey, W.Virginia. The problem is I don't know where to go in these states that detectors are welcome. I only have a couple days vacation left and have to use them before November. I have little time for research or asking permission for private land. I have looked at several websites and know that state parks are off limits. Can someone point me to any locations that have shown promise and are open to our hobby?
