I'm hopefully going to a civil war battle site next week. What are the readings some of you get with the C$ for bullets or other artifacts if you go by the 525 settings?
Went to the park and a house curbing and found twenty cents. Feeling a little frustrated and the C$ really likes to tease me. I'll get a reading of 22 or 25 than it quickly switches to 14 or 16. Every once in a while I will dig one of these sites and the coin strike is right, either a pull tab or beer cap. I hate to be rude but I have called my C$ a "bitch". I hope next week I will do better. Hopefully this apprentice will become someday a C$ KNIGHT. Thanks for all the help guys its trully enjoyable to read some of the finds. Good hunting and may the C$ be with you.

YOu'll be happy to know we all bitched at it when we were learning it too. This is a very different metal detector. It just takes several hours to feel comfortable. If you dig some iron or a cap just consider it a learning experience. Over time you'll dig less & less....trash just sounds different. Make sure you check signals from a few different angles, and something that goes from +25 to +16 is still diggable. Could be a coin on edge, something deep, etc. I dig anything that stays positive myself....& on a Civil War site your gonna pretty much wanna dig everything anyhow. good luck, Bill

I think the 3 ringers hit right around "26" on the C$. Buttons can hit from about "16" (cuff size) and up. But like Bill said, If I'm at a CW site and it beeps, I'm diggin it!
