Got permission to hunt a pasture that used to have an old Church on it. Saturday I went out and found the 6 coins, all in one hole. The key and organ reed were separate digs. Then I went back after work today and found the bullets all in one hole! I think they are Civil War Era? Three ringer? Is the three ringer Confederate or Union? I've heard it both ways. We could have both here. I think they have never been fired, my buddy said the balls are probably pistol balls. Probably fell out of someone's ammo pouch, because they were all together. I think there may have been more, I'll go back later and check it again. I love this stuff!!!!! Happy Hunting!

Fantastic finds Tim and "CONGRATS" - only bullet I ever dug is a modern 50 cal I have on my desk at work. Thanks for sharing the pictures & finds with us & wish you many more finds while out dirt fishing.

Nice day you had there, I can't remember ever seeing a 3 ringer like that , maybe post it on the Civil war site----------------after1------------

From what I have seen online, looks like a .52 caliber ringtail sharps, confederate.

wow , that's incredible. I was going to put this in the whatzit forum but you may have just answered my question.
Nice finds.
So these are organ reeds?

Yes, they are the old pump organ reeds, you will find them at old schools, churches, and homesteads. If you look at the square end closely, you will see a musical note pringed on it. C+ etc.

Thanks timwied for the information. Yes I dug these in a farm field where an old house from the late 1800's once stood. I have an A ,F and D. Thanks again.
