Civil war era finds in my backyard!

Hi everyone
I’m new here and to detecting
Just got a metal detector and started right in my backyard
My first find was a 1864 Indian head penny ( with cool green patina )

Then a 1/2 inch or so musket ball!
Along with some late 1800s bottles!

Ocean County, NJ
Close to the Jersey Shore

Way to go! It took me 2 months to find my first wheat penny and another month to find my first Buffalo and silver dime. You are doing awesome right off the bat. Enjoy the treasure hunt!
