Went out into the woods by some old railroad beds that are gone now. Now there are just trees . Didn't find much but did find a war button. There is a link below.
The words around the band say "Connecticutensis Sigillum Reipublic". The reverse says "Scovill Mfg. Waterbury"

Nice find ! I love finding the old military buttons too. Our Connecticut area has alot of potential for Rev War, Wo1812 & CW period buttons. Not to mention
various military academies. Keep 'em comming Clyde !!
