Civil War Belt buckle?

Hey Y'all,
I found this belt buckle today around an old home site....Does anyone know if it's from the Civil War?

What a great find! However, its post Civil War. That's what we often refer to as the "F Troop" belt plate. Circa 1874.

actually first saw service in 1870 with the expermintal Dyer systems and adopted with some modifications in 1872. Actually a great find!
