civil war and civil war era relics

GRAY GHOST

New member
hello all, pictured are some of the various civil war and civil war era relics i have found in the past. i thought you might be interested in seeing them. there are: harmonica reeds on the bottom. above those, are boot taps. an irregular carved lead washer, an apothecary weight, two parasol pieces, an engineer's folding rule hinge, a brass ring with the inscription"i love jol" carved inside with a penknife, and crudely sized, two broken fork or spoon handles, several knapsack rivets, a silver crudely made double leaf brooch piece, and a large boot tap. the center piece is a rare confederate sword hanger. it's been mistaken in the past as an equine piece. not so! all of these relics were found inside of known camps or very near a civil war battlefield, so the provenance of the pieces is hard to doubt. so, enjoy the pics, and keep looking! good luck, and hh,

looks like you got some good stuff although its a little hatd for me to see the relics because of the background. i can see the shiny one well though. could you please take another pic with a lighter background please.
