We are getting our BUTTS kicked right about now. SEVERE weather, twisters, hail and all that. No detecting today! Keep your heads down if you are in Cindy's path! Later.....I hope!:look:

The Philly area and Jersey shore area is in its path rain starting this evening but better yet if Bill is going to the game today, it might be a tad wet in Baltimore at game time. :surrender:

Bill might get a rain delay for a couple of days! I hope not. We have a lot of flooding, but the twisters are what has everyone "On Edge". I 've seen a couple today from a distance and it is amazing to watch one form.:yikes: Hopefully they won't hit many heavily populated places. I guess on a positive side, we may be able to dig again after all this rain. Keep your head down!

I live in Catawba County (Hickory area) and work in Iredell County (Statesville) We were able to see a couple small twisters form on the horizon to the north of us. They just ripped up a bunch of trees and such and headed northeast. All in all, a pretty bizarre day! How did you guys make out in the storm? It looks like it started getting nasty to the east of us late in the day.

The bulk of the ugly stuff seem to go north and west of central NC (Chatham County is purt near in the middle of the state). Since I work where I do, I was keeping a close watch on the movement of the cells. Glad you made out okay, and yes, nothing puts a chill down your spine quite like seeing a funnel cloud shaping up. Scary stuff! ...
