Had a pretty good weekend, got this ring (14k) Saturday and this little ring (.8gr) and chain (15.3gr) Sunday (both 10k). I've been working real hard and thinking gold, so I was way overdue. Comes in streaks you know...

Thanks friends...that tiny black ring by the pulltab is the smallest gold I've ever found, I remember it was one of the first targets, a very weak but double pop foil signal, almost didn't see it in the scoop...it cleaned up very nicely..the chain was a very scratchy bouncy signal...I don't know how anybody would find one in a trashy park or deep in the sand as its a signal most likely to be passed over, disced out, or not heard to begin with. I was running the AtPro with disc set at 40, so its a wonder I got either of them..The water up here is amazingly warm in the shallows...even without gloves a guy can get his hands wet with no discomfort. Goldie, I leave the house thinking gold, think about the tones throughout the hunt whether in a totlot or in the water...but I was sort of dismayed at the lack of results so far this year, the Forums kept me inspired to keep at it though...I think theres at least one more gold item in this spot...and I think its a class ring, and I think its off to the side of the main swimming area in the mud...so, I better go and get it!
