cigarette charger

hi guys ,
i got a cigarette lighter charger for my explorer battery. will that work on my sovereign GT battery also?

HI Stan,

I forgot to mention when you called that I checked my books on the chargers and it shows the same house charger for both detectors, but for the car it does not show one for the Elite/GT. Being the house chargers are the same the plug would fit. The difference is the Explorer has 8 of the rechargeable 1.2 volts while the GT has 10 of the rechargeable batteries in it make it 12 volts instead of the 9.6 volts. Both pack have a reg circuit in it where I would be concerned if it would fully charge the GT Pack, if it did the car would have to be running to produce more than 12 volts to charge a 12 volt battery of the GT as the charge voltage would have to be higher than the pack would be to charge.
