Cibola

As it was explained, semi-recently, lay coins and trash out on the ground, at varying distances from each other and try swinging the coil at various speeds to see if the detector is able to separate the targets at your sweep speed. Play around a little.

It takes me about 4 seconds to do a complete swing (left to right to left again) with the Cibola.

As the other poster said, practice on different objects to find which speed gives the best response.

Hey John....with all but a few detectors, slow is very good, slower is better. While the Cibola and the Vaquero are among the fastest null to positive (bad target to good target) machines on the market, slow deliberate swing speed will always produce the best results. That slow deliberate swing speed will also keep the user much more in focus and in tune to the language of his machine. When the brain and the detector are in sync......awesome things tend to happen!
