had my C retuned to my 10x5 dd coil, which i use mostly, can not beat the service of tesoro.put on new knob, sent me an extra battery door and a new battery. COST O, lifetime warranty, priceless.how many companys stand behind thier machines like that?

Not many i bet.Tesoros are probably one of the most overlooked detectors on the market today due to the fact that they look so simple. Most people are drawn to the glossy adverts that promise ever more programs, greater depth, faster speed etc,etc......i bet tesoro engineers have a laugh at some of the machines currently available. The secret to these machines is their simplicity and effectiveness with the minimum of user input.....they work as well as anything on the market in most situations and are great value, great quality and great performers. When this is backed up by such a good warranty you can't go wrong.

I'll second that Amen! I just got my Cutlass II back from Tesoro. Rusty and Vince took care of my Cutlass II, but I have to give the background first. I have had the CutlassII for years and it mostly rides in the trunk of my Patrol car in a rifle case. I use the Cutlass on shootings, etc looking for spent shell casings, thrown guns, knives, etc. It's lightweight, easy to use, and never let's me down. This baby has been kept in my trunk thru extreme temp changes, heat, cold, etc. I KNOW you shouldn't do that to a detector, but it is what it is. Anyway, she was getting a little tired and I sent the Cutlass in for a "tune up". I told them I would pay for any repairs, shipping back to me, you name it. I abuse it, and they shouldn't have to fix it on their dime. Rusty called and gave me an update on the Cutlass. They made a few adjustments and it was back at my door in less than a week! They didn't charge me a dime and they should have!!! This kind of service is what brings customers back AND develops product loyalty! You can bet my next purchase will be a Tesoro! In fact , I will be purchasing a Vaquero next month! Kudo's to Tesoro, they are doing it right!!!!

The only thing as good as a Tesoro detector is Tesoro's customer service. WTG Tesoro! Steve.

I agree, Tesoro is top notch! I changed over to these detectors at the begining of 09 and absolutly love them. Nauti neil hits it on the head, they are under rated. I used to think they were little toys, so I stuck with my hevier and much more complicated detector with a nice screen telling me what it wanted to. I have bought three new Tesoro's last year alone. I favorite is my Tejon, though it is not for everybody. I have used their service once for a treasure mate pinpointer and they were top notch. I am NOT a high tech guru and they offer high tech machines that a simple mind like mine can operate and adjust.
I wish I gave Tesoro a serious look earlier.:tesoro::cheers:

I have never had a reason to send anything to Tesoro - that's good
Hearing & reading about their service being top notch - that's good

It's all good.

i bought a Tejon and you are right, it's not for everybody and it wasn't for me. It just layed on the ground and growled while I was digging the target. Sent it back and went with the Cibola. Dug an old fishing lure 18" down in river sand!!! then my hunting buddy dug a lot less pull tabs than I did and bought the machine he uses, a Deleon and I have never looked back. I will put the Cibola up next to a Safari, CZ-3D or DFX you can find. It will out perform it and it's quicker on the target acquisition. Deleon is like a smooth machine you just want to run all day.
